Kerry Humphreys

Kerry brings over 40 years of extensive experience in Australia's mining, oil, and gas industries.
His roles have included QC Welding Manager for the Peru LNG Plant at Pampa Melchorita, South America, overseeing the fabrication of pressure pipe spools in four purpose-built workshops.
Kerry has also managed on-site welding activities and quality control for Minara Resources, a Western Australian mining company specializing in nickel and cobalt production.
His auditing expertise has taken him to Japan, South Korea, and the USA.
Additionally, Kerry has over a decade of experience in implementing, maintaining, and conducting internal audits for ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
Barry Bennett - Senior Trainer & Technical Advisor
Barry has been training and assessing welders for over twenty years in Australia.
He also has a long history of mechanical and welding work and inspection throughout Europe and the UK.
He’s a technical expert with more than forty years on the job and a range of advanced qualifications that reflect his knowledge.

Les Cowley - Senior Inspector & Trainer
Les Cowley has contributed to the metal fabrication and welding industry for about 50 years and is an icon for his training and inspection expertise.
He has delivered advanced industry training for many years and now at AWS, he runs our In-Service Inspection Workshops across Australia and Internationally.
He keeps up to date with standards and technologies by still working as an inspector and supervisor and a mentor for just about anyone in these industries.

Archie Radibratovic - Training Advisor
Archie has a long and distinguished career in Rail Control across Australia.
He has held many senior roles in Rail management including the WA mining sector.
Archie completed his TAE in 2023 and joined AWS CE in a senior Training Coordinator role.
He has been instrumental in re-building AWS CE training policies and procedures systems with a focus on compliance.
Archie is a key member of the AWS CE management team.

Without the Admin team, AWS would stall!
Helen Praniess is our AWS In Service Administration Manager. Helen has many years of experience in all aspects of In Service Inspection and manages bookings, reports and our In Service Data base. She is the ISI guru and brings us homegrown chillies.
Sarah Rodgers is our AWS Administration Manager. Sarah has been with us for over a decade now and is the voice that you’ll usually hear when you call AWS. Sarah is across all aspects of our day-to-day operations and keeps us organised.
Tania Mitchell is a fairly new addition to our team and comes to us from a “sales consultant in the welding industry” background. Tania is working with Archie on our training formalisation project and will be managing student enrolments in the future.
Emma Sampson is our bookkeeping expert and has been with us since the start.
Sandra Cornish is our Accounts Manager and morning tea provider.
Sunny Cornish is our hard-working Office mascot.
