A welding procedure is a statutory requirement. A properly designed weld procedure will meet design requirements and, in the hands of a properly qualified welder, will ensure the safety and integrity of the weld.
A well designed weld procedure is an investment in design and economics. The cost to develop a welding procedure may be a few hundred dollars or tens of thousands of dollars entirely dependant on design requirements, materials and the big ticket item is the non destructive test and mechanical testing required to comply with project and regulatory standards.
The welding of all structures and pressure plant is covered by specification and regulatory compliance. Cost to repair or rework a failed weld will cost many time the original weld. Where a weld fails catastrophically, the cost is insignificant compared with the consequence.
Technically yes, but that’s not really what we do. We offer welding advice, consultation, training and inspection, but don’t do general welding fabrication.
No, unfortunately we don’t. But we if you contact us we can recommend a supplier. We are able to evaluate filler metals and equipment for specific projects
The best outcome could be a fine from Safework SA of up to $900,000. The worst outcome could see someone seriously injured or killed.
It depends on the vessel type, size & Hazard Level (as stipulated in the standard AS 4343) of the plant item. If you have multiple vessels on site the price drops significantly after the first item, and drops again with more than 5 items. Feel free to call us for a quote.
That depends on the type of vessel inspected, as per standard AS/NZS 3788. Most vessels require an external inspection every 2 years, and an internal inspection every 4 years. Fired Boilers require an annual statutory inspection.
Yes. Contact us to discuss the skills you’d like to work on and the materials and skill level. We will be able to formulate a quote based on this information.
From 2006 to 2015 AW CE was an RTO. We decided not to continue with this accreditation in 2016 because we are more focused on customised, advanced industry training. We still run our training centre with the high standards for quality and policy management that were established in 2006. Our course content and expert trainers remain the same, and our Students earn a Certificate of Attendance for completing one of our courses.
